I am 1!

On Friday I turned 1 whole year old. I am so much wiser and more mature now than I was a year ago. For starters, I sleep through the night (mommy and daddy are very thankful) and I can eat real food. Except for vegetables - those go on the ground where they belong. And I can walk! I prefer to walk holding someone's hand - safely first - but if properly prompted I can walk on my own. I also babble constantly. Mommy is pretty sure I can say the word "shoes." This scares Daddy. My shoe drawer is my happy place.

Here are some recent photos in honor of my big day. Photos of the birthday party blowout to follow later.

Trying to get some work done people.  Do you mind???

Mommy's purse is so interesting.  I can't wait to get one of my own.  Now, how do these nail filel thingys work?

Yeah?  Trying to play here.  Move along.

Bottle time with the daddies.  Saving a little on my chin for later.

Celebrating Mother's Day with Mommy.  Kept the bow in my hair just for her.

So angelic.

Practicing my walking!

Easter Weekend

I am a bit late but I had a great Easter weekend in Austin. The Easter bunny really likes me and brought me 3 Easter baskets. Okay, I just got one this week but it still counts.

Hanging out with Daddy.

Help!!!!!!!! Get us out of here!

These pants are so not flattering.

Blake, I need that toy.  Give it back.

Meeting Mommy's grandfather for the first time.  Hello, Papa

Why is that boy always fussing???

I just need this one flower.

Happy Easter!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy birthday daddy!  He turned very old today.  We celebrated by going to the zoo.  In honor of his big day, here are some cute photos of me.

Playing house

Taking Daddy's new ride for a spin.  I think I have this driving thing down.

Chilling in my new, big girl car seat.

Mommy, your hair is a little wind blown.

Bevo on steroids.

That elephant has bigger thighs than I do.

I need more toys.

9 months old!

Today I turn the ripe old age of 9 months.  Mema, is my present in the mail???  The time is just flying by!  I am now eating solid food.  While it's not exactly solid, it's not served out of a bottle either so I guess it counts as solid food.  I am still a long way from steak and potatoes.  I really want to use the spoon myself but Mom won't let me.  Something about me spraying her face with sweet potatoes.  Geesh woman, get over it already.

I am also crawling, which scares the daylights out of the parents.  Now that I have my own wheels I am in to everything.    Life is way more fun when you can go where you want.  I am pretty sure that Gracie agrees.

I am also gettng my first tooth!  Thank goodness, Daddy was afraid they were going to have to fit me for dentures.

I am so ready for the rodeo next year.  This year it's a lamb, next year it's the bull ride!

Playing with my semi-creepy singing bear.  But really enjoying it!

Mom, I am trying to talk on the phone here.  Little privacy please???

Someone get me a hair brush STAT

A little unsure of this whole swing concept.  Does Daddy know what he's doing?

Posing with Mom's Valentine's Day flowers.

Look at those thighs - they are impressive.

Baptism Time!

I was baptized at St. Luke's United Methodist Church on Sunday, February 28th. That's where I go to school! I was very good that day - I didn't cry or spit up on the minister. I also didn't sit still for many photos.

Here I am plotting my escape while Uncle Dan, Mema, Mom, Grando, Aunt Samantha, and Dad smile lovingly for the camera.

Such an angel.

If they aren't going to feed me I will just eat my hands.

Look Daddy, it's a bow!

Mom trying to show off my pretty dress.  I just want to crawl. It's hard being this photogenic.
