6 months update

It's hard to believe but I turn 6 months old tomorrow.  I think I look pretty good for my age.  I am getting a little heavy in the belly so I am considering adding some sit ups - got to keep that girly figure.  In honor of the occasion I thought I would list a few of my favorite things:
Favorite Hobby:  Reading the newspaper with Dad in bed on Sundays - see photo below.  Dad recently had back surgery, so in Mom's words he is useless.  But he can sit in bed with me and read the paper!
Favorite Food: Are you kidding me?  I don't eat food yet.  I start that tomorrow.  Will get back to you on that experience.  Not sure who is dreading it more, me or mom.
Best Friend: Gracie of course.  I just wish that she would sit still so that I could grab her tail.  We are going to have lots of fun together once I can actually move on my own.
Favorite Activity:  It was playing in my exersaucer - see photo below - but now it's sitting up on my own - also see photo below.  I do not like laying on my back.  Laying down is what babies do and I am a big girl now.
Second Favorite Activity: Putting anything and everything into my mouth.  Stuff just needs to be chewed on.
Favorite Color: Is there any question???  Pink, of course.  Mema, keep the cute outfits coming.

Well, I have to jet - need to finish my Christmas shopping.  Merry Christmas everyone!  As you can see by the photo below I am the best present under the tree.  But there better be some presents under there for me!

Halloween Preview

I know it's not Halloween yet but I thought I would give all of my fans a sneak peak. Mema went a little crazy and sent me 3 costumes. So of course Mom and I had to have a fashion show to decide which one to wear. That will be a surprise! So check back Sunday to see who won.

We also went to the pumkin patch on Saturday so there are some photos below of that outing as well.

That's a keeper.

This one's for you Mema.

Costume option number 1. How did my feet get so big? And more importantly how do I get them into my mouth???

Guess my hand will have to do. No way I am eating that carrot.

Costume option number 2. I make a pretty ferocious little bee.

Costume option number 3. It's only fitting, I am a sweet little flower.

4 Months!

I turn 4 months today. It has been a very busy 4 months. I have gotten so big. I would tell you how big but it's not polite to ask a lady her size.

I am now going to daycare and making lots of friends. I am a very social baby - the more the merrier! My favorite things are my flower toy (see below), sticking my fingers - or anything handy - into my mouth, "talking", and playing with the animals on my activity mat. I am now starting to enjoy time in my exersaucer. All of this playing leaves me pretty tired so I sleep at least 6 hours at a time. This development made Mommy and Daddy very excited. What - they don't like hanging out at 2 am??? I have even started rolling myself onto my tummy from my back. I have to admit that this sometimes scares the beejesus out of me! You are on your back, minding your own business, and then suddenly you are face down on your activity mat - it's freaky stuff people. Mommy and Daddy say this is normal but I am skeptical.

Yesterday was my first Texas-ou game. Learned lots of very colorful 4-letter words from Mommy. I am not supposed to repeat those. Go Horns! I love watching football. And playing with the remote.

Looking forward to my first Halloween. I promise to post lots of cute photos.

Okay, I have some playing to do.

Riley

I am getting so strong!

Watching my first Texas-ou game. Was not happy the first half. But a win is a win. Hook 'em!

Some people say we look alike.

Hanging out with Daddy.

Hello, gorgeous.

Lounging on my bunny after a tiring day at school. Learning is hard work.

Being fed by Grando. He doesn't do diapers but he is a good feeder.

My first day of daycare. I am by far the best dressed in the class. Is it bragging if it's true???

Playing with my favorite toy. The toy is for 6 months and up. What can I say - I am advanced for my age. And very musical - must get that from Mommy.

September Update

Getting ready to go shopping with Mommy.

Enjoying the last few days of summer.

Now where is that cabana boy with my drink?

Amazingly, I have a better tan than Mommy.

Daddy doesn't like the hair bows. Doesn't he know you have to suffer for fashion???

Hanging out with Granny and Grandaddy. This month has been full of grandparent visits. Such a spoiled little girl!

Out for a stroll with Blake. If we look scared it's because Mema was driving. Scary.

Just chillin on a Friday night.

Seriously people - I am not a doll. But I am pretty damn cute.

Here we are before the first football game. I wasn't allowed to go but I had on my burnt orange to watch at home with Blake, Mema and Grando. Go Horns!

Big weekend!

I am exhausted from this past weekend but there are some super cute pics that I just had to post. Amy, Erin and Laura Lee were all in town to hang out with your's truly. They may have also wanted to visit with Mom but I am pretty sure that I was the primary reason for the visit. Mom is cool but she really can't compete with my cuteness. It was a great weekend for me. Instead of 2 adults at my beck and call I had 5 adults to do my bidding. Life is good. Will write more soon but right now I need a nap. For now enjoy the greatest hits from the weekend. Someone hold me please. Don't make me start crying!

Riley

It's important to stay protected from the sun. My skin is very sensitive. Plus, it's never too soon to start worrying about wrinkles.

Enjoying getting to know the birthday girl - aka Laura Lee. She turned 16 again on Friday. I am honored she chose to celebrate with me.

Hanging out at dinner.

Posing with the girls! They are a good looking group. Just don't get blinded by Mom's legs. Seriously, get some sun.

Here I am taking a nap in Amy's arms. It's tiring being this cute!

July Post

Sorry I have been so delinquent in blogging but it has been a busy few weeks. Last week Mom and I went to Austin to stay with Mema and Grando. We didn't completely abandon Dad - he was in LA for work. Got to pay for my cute outfits! Looking this good doesn't come cheaply.

Anyway, it was a busy week. The highlight was meeting Cousin Blake for the first time. Since he is older, he showed me the ways of the world. We also liked to play this fun game where we would both start crying at the same time and see how many adults would come running. Good times.

I met lots of Mom's friends as well and the grandmothers of Tanbark Cove. On Sunday Dad drove us to San Antonio to meet his aunt and granny. They are my great aunt and great granny. So I am quite the world traveler now - Houston, Austin, San Antonio. Makes me tired just thinking about it.

Thanks Mema for taking care of me for the past week. Don't know what Mom and I would have done without you. Hope you have gotten some sleep. And sorry about the spit up on your clothes, your couch, your rug...

Enjoy the pictures below!

Posing in my new outfit. Notice the matching socks and hat. Yup - Mema put this together.

Mom and Mema think I look precious, but Dad thinks that the bow counts as child abuse.

Meeting Blake for the first time. He is a whole 11 days older so I have lots to learn from him. But I wish that he would stop hitting me in the face!

Mema had her hand fulls with Blake and me. She changed lots of diapers. She is a good Mema but needs to learn some new songs - it's not really the season for Jingle Bells.

I met alot of family on this trip. This is me chilling with my great aunt Becky. She may not babysit but she buys me LOTS of cute clothes.

I have grown a whole inch since birth. In one of my many new outfits - thanks Mema!

My great aunt Jody was in San Antonio all the way from Denver. It was so fun to meet her and my great granny.

Cousin Blake and I both know the importance of accessorizing - thus the hats.
