Week 37 Update

It's week 37 now and I am still pregnant. I am dilated one whole whopping centimeter! I don't really know what that means but I am pretty sure that it means she is not coming early. Which means I have plenty of time to shop for her! Thank goodness, because the girl just does not have enough clothes.

Since everyone wants to know how large I am these days here are a few recent photos.

This is us with Grandpa C in the nursery. My parents had to babysit me over Memorial Day weekend while Barrett was at Aunt Samantha's wedding. Sadly, we were not allowed to travel to Santa Fe. But Aunt Samantha was a beautiful bride and the cake was delicious!
Grandpa C was a trooper all weekend following Grandma C and me around antique stores and baby stores. Thankfully his credit card was never far! I have a feeling she will have him wrapped around her finger in no time!

Yup - that's my belly. Not sure it can get much bigger at this point! Thankfully it goes back to its regular size as soon as I deliver her. That is how it works, right???

This is us with Erin - she came to visit all the way from New York! Not sure why we have to take all photos in front of the crib. You will notice that the belly is threatening to attack Erin. Thankfully she made it out safely!

Week 34 Update

No doctor appointments this week so nothing new medically to report. I am almost as big as a whale, but I am not sure if that's a medical term. I now have 6 weeks to go and am sequestered in Houston until the birth. This will be the longest that I have spent in Houston, so wish me luck.

We were in Austin most of last week for a work shower and Blake's shower. Oh yeah, and for me to work. That kind of got in the way of the socializing! My aunt Becky is apparently on a mission to make Blake and Riley the two best dressed unborn children in the world. And I appreciate her efforts!

Since there is nothing new to report and photos are more fun than my ramblings I will just post some photos.

This is Barrett - aka the father - busy putting together one of Riley's many gifts. He was on a roll for a while but has apparently lost interest, as evidenced by all of the boxes still cluttering our dining room. Yes, I can nag via the blog!

This is Gracie, the current baby of the house. Well, she is my baby and Barrett's nemesis. She was napping between the pillows in our bedroom. Isn't she cute???

This is Laura Lee, Christina and I at Maudie's the day before my shower in early April. Notice the bump. Now multiply by 100 and you will get an idea of what I look like now. It's very important that we start Riley on a diet of Mexican food at an early age. I will let Grandma C introduce her to the importance of the margarita.

Speaking of Grandma C, here she is at my shower. This is an important photo because you will notice that she is thinner than both of her pregnant daughters.
